Times are Tough, I Know
We all know times are tough and probably the last thing you want to see right now is another ChipIn campaign for a podcaster in need, but please consider this: whose voice was that on the iPod just now?
I'm a podcast author and I know that my novel would not have had the same impact it did without the talented voice actors that brought my characters to life. If I don't get paid for the podcast, you can bet I can't afford to pay them. And believe me, there is some incredible voice talent out there, lending their talent to productions just like mine and not earning a nickle for their time and effort. Yet they still do it.
Two of the best are Heather Welliver and Marc Bailey, who along with their 18 month-old son, Grailpup, are collectively known as the Grailpack. They have lent their wonderful voices to several of my works and I know I could not possibly pay them enough for the awesome performances they gave. You have probably also enjoyed them in other recent podcast novels.
The Grailpack needs our help. Marc lost his job last year and like many others has not been able to find another. Heather has been working as a nanny, but that job is going away when her charge enters preschool soon. The bills are starting to pile up and they are about to lose their health insurance (something you do not want to have happen when you have a young child!)
They need some cash and they need it right away. If you have enjoyed the work these two talented people have contributed in the past and are looking forward to their participation in future projects, please consider a contribution to this fund. You'll be helping a great young family out of a really big jam and insuring that Heather and Marc will be able to entertain podcast fiction listeners for years to come.
